Schedules

Where do the ferry times come from?

Ferry Hopper 852 uses official operator sources for supported routes. The backend checks supported routes twice weekly. Some routes refresh directly from structured data, while others are verified against official source changes.

Travel responsibility

Should riders still confirm same-day service changes?

Yes. The app is designed to be useful and trustworthy, but riders should still confirm critical same-day disruptions or operator notices when timing is especially important.

Premium

What does Premium unlock?

Premium is an optional commuter convenience layer. It adds favorites, reminders, and faster route access for riders who use Hong Kong ferries often. The free version remains ad-free.

Billing

How do restore purchases and cancellation work?

Billing and subscription management are handled by Apple. Riders can use the Restore Purchases option in the app and can cancel subscriptions from Apple ID settings.

Notifications

When does the app ask for notification permission?

Only when a rider explicitly enables reminder features. Ferry Hopper 852 does not ask for notification access just to browse schedules.

Privacy

What analytics are collected?

Launch analytics are first-party and anonymous. We track product usage patterns such as route views, language choice, reminder adoption, and premium funnel steps, without ad pixels or cross-app tracking.
